Probability distribution for the quantum universe

نویسندگان

چکیده

We determine the inner product on Hilbert space of wavefunctions universe by imposing Hermiticity quantum Hamiltonian in context minisuperspace model. The corresponding probability density reproduces successfully classical distribution $\hbar \to 0$ limit, for closed universes filled with a perfect fluid index $w$. When $-1/3<w\le 1$, wavefunction is normalizable and becomes vanishingly small at big bang/big crunch singularities, least semi-classical level. Quantum expectation values physical geometrical quantities, which diverge classically are shown to be finite.

Quantum probability distribution of arrival times and probability current density

Agreement with a conclusive experimental test is the ultimate requirement for establishing the validity of any theoretical proposal. However, discriminating experimentally among different alternatives is not always a straightforward matter. Indeed, under arbitrary experimental conditions it might be no possible to distinguish sufficiently among different conceivable alternatives as to guarantee...

The Quantum Universe

On the basis that the universe is a closed quantum system with no external observers, we propose a paradigm in which the universe jumps through a series of stages. Each stage is defined by a quantum state, an information content, and rules governing temporal evolution. Only some of these rules are currently understood; we can calculate answers to quantum questions, but we do not know why those ...

The Probability Distribution Function of Light in the Universe: Results from Hydrodynamic Simulations

While second and higher order correlations of the light distribution have received extensive study, the lowest order probability distribution function (PDF) — the probability that a unit volume of space will emit a given amount of light — has received very little attention. We estimate this function with the aid of hydrodynamic simulations of the ΛCDM model, finding it significantly different f...

Quantum Probability Explanations for Probability Judgment ‘Errors’

A quantum probability model is introduced and used to explain human probability judgment errors including the conjunction, disjunction, inverse, and conditional fallacies, as well as unpacking effects and partitioning effects. Quantum probability theory is a general and coherent theory based on a set of (von Neumann) axioms which relax some of the constraints underlying classic (Kolmogorov) pro...
